About - Dr. Priti Shukla
Dr. PritiShukla |
» Professional Approach Dr. Priti’s professional approach is
directed towards: • Patient education: Complex medical concepts are
given to the patient in their own language. Dr. Priti speaks English,
Hindi, Telugu and Urdu fluently and can understand many other Indian
languages. She helps patient understand their options and make the best
possible decision regarding their appearance, health, and quality.
Counseling: Dr. Priti understands that a cosmetic surgery
patient has several concerns like secrecy, cost, healing time and long
term results. Expectations from a tummy tuck for women wearing
saree/salwar are at times different from a model posing in skimpy
clothes. She tailors her procedures to suit the patient’s needs, cost
and timeframe, after discussing all the available options. If at any
point of time she feels that the problem is beyond her professional
capacity she refers the patient to another doctor. If she feels patient
is not a good candidate for surgery or has unrealistic expectations, she
points it out to them and suggests alternative non-surgical treatments
and lifestyle changes.
Support: Dr. Priti encourages the patients to visit her
regularly after surgery to discuss any issues. If the patient is not
fully satisfied after surgery and if it is possible to improve the
results further by minor surgery she does it at nominal costs to cover
the expenses alone, within a specified period of time. Patient
satisfaction is her ultimate reward.
Self improvement: New techniques are being added to cosmetic
surgery on a constant basis and some old ones are being discarded.
However everything latest has to withstand the test of time and scrutiny
of medical research. Dr. Priti keeps abreast with the advances to give
the best options to her patients. Apart from this she considers
listening to her patients a great opportunity to learn.
Dr. Pritishukla has built
her skill base on a background of sound knowledge and academic
excellence. She topped several exams at state and all India level and
has been a university multi gold medallist throughout the student phase
of her life. She continues to engage in academic activities and her
research work has been published in international journals. She is often
invited to give talks on cosmetic surgery at local medical meets. She
engages with teaching activity as an asst. professor of surgery at
Bhaskara Medical College, Hyderabad. She participates regularly in
cosmetic plastic surgery workshops and conferences to keep abreast with
latest in this rapidly evolving field.
